Open Show 2014 (16th June - 30th Sept 2014)

The Open Show series was first introduced by the National Visual Art Gallery in 1971. It was last held in 2005. In conjunction with the Visit Malaysia 2014 and the Malaysia Contemporary Art Tourism Festival (MCAT), the National Visual Arts Development Board (NVADB) decides to take this timely opportunity to revive the show for the benefit of all visual artists in Malaysia.

A total of 235 artists from all over Malaysia (except Sabah & Sarawak) submitted their artwork for evaluation. After the assessment by a panel of jury, 114 artworks were selected to be displayed in the National Visual Art Gallery.
